Cosmetics

Have you ever wished for a more attractive smile? Some people avoid smiling because of stains, chips, gaps, or other imperfections in their smile. Cosmetic dentistry can now change all of that.

Dr. Krauspe offers advanced cosmetic dentistry procedures that make a beautiful smile accessible to everyone. Dental technology, balanced with an eye for aesthetics, can bring dramatic results!

Whitening (Bleaching)

Anyone can have a whiter, brighter smile.

Whitening a patient's teeth removes the appearance of coffee and tobacco stains and improves the color of aging, yellowing teeth. Dr. Krauspe believes that the popular “whiter while you wait” in-office procedure, while fast, offers the patient a less satisfactory, less lasting result and is usually more expensive. Dr. Krauspe uses an "at home" technique which offers better results with less cost. The patient has impressions taken so that custom bleaching trays can be made. The patient then adds the bleaching agent to the trays and bleaches at their convenience--while watching TV, or even while sleeping!

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Old, unsightly mercury fillings are removed and replaced with composite ones. These bonded fillings hold the tooth structure together, strengthening the teeth. Mercury fillings often crack and break teeth because they are not bonded to them. Tooth-colored fillings offer patients metal-free dentistry, which allows light to flow through and reflect off the teeth, leaving a more natural smile.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain Veneers can create an instant smile makeover. Veneers are thin, custom-crafted shells of luminous porcelain that are bonded to the teeth to eliminate discoloration, chips, misalignment and other imperfections, making the teeth appear straighter and more even.

All-Porcelain Crowns and Bridges

The most aesthetic way to restore your smile is to cover broken or deteriorating teeth without the use of any metal. Porcelain crowns are caps that are placed over the surface of teeth, reinforcing weakened structure and masking chips, cracks, and discoloration. Repairing a damaged tooth, correctly aligning a patient’s bite, evening out the overall appearance of a smile, or serving as anchors for a dental bridge are reasons for a porcelain crown.

If a tooth or a series of teeth are missing, all-porcelain dental bridges may offer the best treatment plan. Dental bridges work to eliminate the possibility that remaining teeth will shift to fill the gap left by a missing tooth, reduce a patient’s risk of gum disease, correct speech and bite difficulties, and provide a natural appearance.
